Recurring Event: One time event

Description:

The Washington State Housing Finance Commission, Key Bank, Innovate Washington and MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions are sponsoring a breakfast for financial executives of non-profit organizations. Join us to learn how you can improve the energy efficiency of your facilities and lower your operating costs, while reducing your carbon footprint; in many cases with NO capital outlay.

Featuring keynote speaker Dow Constantine, King County Executive; and guest panel comprised of senior business executives that have or are considering energy and water conservation initiatives within their organizations including:

  • Paul Lowber, CFO, Washington Athletic Club
  • Marsh Kellegrew, CFO, Compass Health
  • Emma Johnson, Resource Conservation Manager, City of Bellevue
  • Avi Jacobson, Sustainable Energy Manager, Washington State Housing Finance Commission

Key objectives of this executive forum include:

  • Why energy efficient investments are fiscally important to your business objectives
  • Learning how your peers are managing the choppy and often uncharted waters of prioritizing energy efficiency investments
  • Gathering a comprehensive list of conventional and unconventional funding options which are being used.  Knowledgeable people from the State of WA, King County, City of Seattle and other jurisdictions will be present to address specifics of the various options
  • How best to plan for future (inevitable) regulations; such as full/public disclosure of your property’s energy performance

The road to greener commercial buildings isn’t easy… but it is within your reach. Seattle Business Magazine’s recent article explains funding methods and the benefits of energy efficient projects, for your building and the community.
