Bonneville Power Administration
Founded in 1937 the Bonneville Power Administration is a federal nonprofit agency based in the Pacific Northwest. BPA markets wholesale electrical power from 31 federal hydro projects in the Columbia River Basin, one nonfederal nuclear plant and several other small nonfederal power plants. For more than 30 years BPA has worked with our public utility customers to acquire energy efficiency as a power resource for the people of the Northwest. In this time we have achieved over 1300 average megawatts of savings, enough savings to power nearly a million homes. BPA's Energy Smart Industrial Program teams with public utilities to offer industries a wide variety of services and incentives to achieve energy efficiency.
