About the Awards
Washington State is a hot bed of industrial innovation and leadership. When looking at successful industrial enterprises, a common denominator of companies at the top of the list is the efficient use of energy resources.
The Washington State University Energy Program, in collaboration with the Bonneville Power Administration, the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance and the Washington State Department of Commerce is launching a multi-year, state-wide program in 2012 to recognize industries in the state that are leaders in energy efficiency. The Washington Industrial Energy Leaders program is intended to identify and recognize those industrial businesses in Washington that have demonstrated leadership in the pursuit of energy efficiency. Nominations are now being accepted for the 2012 awards.
Governor Chris Gregoire is scheduled to present the awards to winners on December 5, 2012 in Olympia at the Washington State Capitol Building. The awards ceremony is an opportunity to recognize efforts, learn from the leaders, and network with program providers that can offer additional support for energy efficiency.
