Title: Tractor Heater Timers Calculator
Primary Authors: Wisconsin Public Service Corporation
Abstract: Use this calculator to show how you can save on energy costs by using tractor heater timers. It calculates the cost difference between using a timer and not using one. By using timers on your tractor engine block heaters, you could save up to 85 percent on energy costs. The typical Engine block heater only requires 1 to 2 hours to bring the engine up to temperature for starting. A simple 24 hour clock timer can automatically turn the heater on so it's ready for use when needed. The energy savings will pay for the clock timer in 1 to 3 months typically.
