The 2024 Washington State Energy Code – Residential (WSEC-R) development and adoption process is currently in progress. The State Building Code Council (SBCC) is continuing work through the formal rulemaking phases, including drafting, public hearings, economic analysis, and final adoption steps. Because these steps are ongoing, all dates, filings, and final code language remain subject to change as the process moves forward.
