The Energy Library offers:
Access to our Collection and Subject Expertise
The Energy Library maintains a special collection where WSU staff, the general public, and other libraries can expect to find energy-related information.
The Energy Library is part of Washington State University's Extension Service. We are accessible to the public during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. The general public is invited to browse our collection and do in-house Research.
In addition to use of the collection in-house, the Energy Library:
- Accepts interlibrary loan requests electronically and by US mail.
- Extends direct borrowing privileges to WSU/CE Energy Program staff.
- Provides WSU staff, faculty, and students, as well as the general public, with access to our materials through interlibrary loan.
Current Awareness Tools
The WSU/CE Energy Program Library helps its users keep track of emerging trends and issues in energy through the weekly electronic current awareness service, Energy Newsbriefs. The service profiles new information of potential interest to our clients.
In addition, the Library highlights new products and services in a monthly electronic document called, "What's New at the Library?", which is distributed to staff at the Energy Program.
Reference and Research Support
The WSU/CE Energy Program Library encourages increased awareness and use of energy-efficient technologies by:
- maintaining a dedicated special collection of books, fact sheets, periodicals, and reports
- providing literature searches of energy-related electronic databases
- providing access to the Internet's World Wide Web (WWW) resources, and
- referring users to additional energy-related information resources
Users may make information requests by electronic mail, by telephone / fax, and in person. Referrals for energy-related information will also be accepted from other libraries.
