The Energy Program is on the move. Our vision: To be a national leader and catalyst for creating powerful energy solutions.

What makes us think we deserve a spot out front? Experience. Our team includes energy experts in industrial engineering, applied building science, distributed generation, renewables, software design, and research. Some of us have been at it since the 1970s, when renewable energy seemed as futuristic as the Jetsons, and energy-efficiency as scarce as gasoline.

Our goal is to provide unmatched energy services, products, education and information. We know that energy is big business and that those who fail to recognize its value pay a high price.

To achieve our goals, we are strengthening our partnerships with business, industry, and state and federal governments. We are building on our university affiliation to attract like-minded partners and bring in new resources to support our efforts in developing healthy building practices.

The Energy Program also distinguishes itself as a leader in the area of industrial processes. To strengthen our position, we recently unveiled the Motor Resource Center, a partnership that gives our customers access to the most up-to-date information and the nation's one-of-a-kind independent motors testing facility.

Beyond energy conservation, we are strong believers in the promise of renewable energy. Our new Climate and Rural Energy Development Center is dedicated to promoting sustainable practices and reducing greenhouse gases.
