Data Support Services
Currently, the WSU Energy Program provides data support services to the Washington State Department of Community, Trade, and Economic Development’s Energy Policy Division. We collaborate with CTED personnel to produce publications, including:
Fuel Mix Disclosure
The WSU Energy Program plays a key role in Washington’s utility fuel mix disclosure process. Each year, utilities in Washington report to their customers the mix of fuels used to generate the electricity supplied by the utility. Software systems, designed, built, and maintained in-house, are used by WSU Energy Program staff to collect all the necessary data and derive each utility’s fuel mix. This information is passed on to all the utilities in the state for dissemination to their customers.
